Historic Tours


A guided tour of the Marathon County History Society Woodson House Exhibit at 410 McIndoe Street or the Yawkey House Museum at 403 McIndoe Street may be booked on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m, and on Saturday and Sunday between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Our current exhibits are:

A Time of Change: Marathon County 1900-1910
and
Special Edition: 100 years of the Wausau Daily Herald


The tour takes approximately 30 minutes and includes a scavenger hunt. In conjunction with a tour, you are also welcome to book one of our other programs or visit our library for more information on Marathon County. Click the links below to view a list of other programs available. We ask that groups have at least 12 people and book their tour at least two weeks in advance. Note: Tours are not booked on Mondays, Fridays or holidays.
