Artifact Programs
The following is a current list of the programs offered by the Marathon County Historical Society. These programs have been designed for both children and adults and are available for use at your place or at the Historical Society's facilities. 100 Years of Women's Fashion
A presentation of dresses from each decade beginning with the 1870s and ending with the 1970s. Can also be used in conjunction with the related slide program.
Turn-of-the-Century Trunk
A collection of general household items from the 1890s to the 1920s.
The One-Room Schoolhouse in America
A history of the one-room schoolhouse in the 19th and 20th centuries, with a special emphasis on Marathon County.
Native Americans of Wisconsin
An exploration of the Native American tribes of Wisconsin from prehistoric times to the 20th century.
The Fur Trade in the Upper Great Lakes
A look at the fur trade operation in Wisconsin and on Lake Superior.
100 Years of Women's Hats
A presentation of women's bonnets and hats from the 1860s-1960s. Men's hats are also available by request.
