Raise a glass to Wausau’s rich history on the Old-Fashioned Downtown Tour, a two-hour guided walking tour through the heart of downtown. Hosted by the Marathon County Historical Society, this engaging experience blends local lore, historical architecture, and Wisconsin’s favorite cocktail.
At each stop, enjoy a sample of a classic Old-Fashioned (or a spirit-free alternative) as you hear about the buildings, the people who shaped them, and how they’ve stood the test of time.
This tour is rain or shine, so dress appropriately and wear comfortably walking shoes. The tour begins and ends at the Woodson History Center, and includes rest stops and guidance throughout.
