About The Post Office:

The P.O., located SW 1/4 Section 21, is still in service.



Railroad:

The Chicago and Northwestern Railroad ran through town and had a station there from which considerable freight was shipped.



Schools:

A 1901 Plat map shows a school located on 3rd Avenue between Birch and Maple streets.

According to one Marathon County booklet, Marathon County's Agricultural Heritage, this community had two school houses.

Grocery store opened in 1915 by Adelaide and Frederick Hedtke
