The 1901 plat map of Kronenwetter Twp. shows a spur line of the Chicago Milwaukee & St. Paul RR into a lumber mill on the eastern edge of Section 16. Current maps show Flanner Rd. intersecting Old Hwy. 51 north of Mosinee.
